Welcome to Deerly Southern! We’re Shelbie and Brittany, two best friends living on opposite sides of the country. I, Shelbie, originally started Deerly Southern as a way to better my journalism skills and carry on my love for writing. My dream was to start a successful blog and I lost my way for a while. My best friend, Brittany, moved from our little neighborhood in small town Virginia across country to California to be with her husband, D. Along the way she started her blog, A Little Dash of Whiskey. After months of being in a blogging slump, we both decided to team up and take on Deerly Southern together!
